DescriptionThe mission of Rotary International is to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.
The Rotary Club of Katikati have achieved many goals which support these wider values. Their many fundraising efforts, both those conducted in collaboration with other groups and those conducted as purely Rotary projects, have enriched the local community and provided opportunities for youth, the older population and the wider community.
The individual activities would be too numerous to mention but they include garden parties, fundraising dinners, auctions, construction projects, concerts, the funding of technology and books into schools and resthomes, the planting of many trees in the town, daffodil bulbs along the Uretara River and many more projects. The Rotary Club also organise the "Up the Garden Path" district garden ramble and host an annual Christmas Party alongside the IHC.
