Life dates1903-1996BiographyArthur Honeyfield excelled as an entrpreneur and business leader in the agricultural sector at a national level. He was an early aviator and achieved degrees in law and accounting. He was also one of the men behind the development of the Port of Tauranga, now the largest port in New Zealand. He moved to his property at Tahawai (Kauri Point) north of Katikati in 1947. He loved the property which he called Tatara. Here, he became involved in the development of avocado growing and also got involved with the milling of timber on Matakana Island.
