DescriptionIn the RSA's minutes of 16th July 1946 it was proposed that a "Ladies Committee" be formed under the umbrella of the Katikati RSA. The ladies to be approached were Mesdames Herbert, Rapley, Sherson, Richards, Hooper, Wallace with Mrs. Lomas helping in the kitchen, with Misses Atkinson and A. Rapley taking the remaining places.
It was formed to support the men primarily with catering, but became a valuable social network for the wives over the years.
The very first cake for the Women's Division as the ladies celebrated its 43rd birthday on the 17th July 1990.
