DescriptionThe Homewood Trust and Katikati RSA combined forces to fund and build a complex of 58 retirement units for returned veterans. this complex, situated in Park Road, was opened by Sir William Leuchars on February 7th, 1987. Sir William served as the Dominion President of the New Zealand RSA from 1974 - 1988.
The building was done by Kerry McCullough and the units were designed by RSA member Scott Sygrove.
Kaimai MP Bruce Townsend raised the flag at the opening ceremony and the complex was blessed by the Reverend Archdeacon Rex Clark.
