This can be accessed as a full text document on this web site. The following timeline is taken from Katikati Primary School's 125th Celebration booklet.
11th May 1876 - the School Board is formed at a meeting of settlers.
1877 - No. 1 School is opened at the corner of Kauri Point and Ongare Point Roads.
1878 - No. 1 School is burnt down and rebuilt at Tanners Point.
1879 - No. 2 School opens in Katikati township with Maria Gallaher appointed as Teacher. This building is now part of the current Katikati Primary School and is listed as a Category 2 Historic Place with Heritage New Zealand|Pouhere Taonga (List No. 5409)
1880 - No. 3 School opens near Waitekohe River (it became known as Waitekohe School)
1929 - No. 1 School closes
1931 - No. 2 and No. 3 Schools close in July and the roll of 191 children is transferred to Katikati School Consolidated
1935 - The Secondary School Department is established and the school becomes Katikati District High School.
