DescriptionThe Kauri Dam at Diggelmann Park in Katikati was created to acknowledge the role of the Kauri logging industry in the economic development of Katikati. It was built by members of the Rotary Club of Katikati to acknowledge 100 years of Rotary International. The Dam's official opening was celebrated with an outdoor lunch and invited speakers, among them then Mayor Greame Weld, and Kaumatua Pae Wanakore.
