DescriptionKatikati Drama Club in the 1960s and 70s was an active and successful club which produced a number of well-reviewed plays and pantomimes which were performed at Katikati Memorial Hall. Fortunately, these performances were well documented and recorded and kept in a series of scrapbooks and photo albums which were donated to the Western Bay Community Archives by Ann Allen who enjoyed some stardom as part of the club.
Written by Otorohanga man Malcolm Cameron and produced locally by June Carlton, this was the club's first pantomime, presented in conjunction with the children from Katikati Primary School and the College in 1966. It was performed at Katikati Memorial Hall on the 6th, 8th & 10th December.
