I have followed George from Hikutia to Te Aroha and now to Katikati.
The Allens and the Alleys were great friends and knew each other when George lived in Te Aroha and the Allens lived in Morrinsville.They were in the same lodge togeather.
It wouldn't have been a long horse ride between the two town's .

Map Details
Map Description The land lots were given numbers and drawn by each settler, who then chose his land. The lot number was allocated to that piece of land, along with the the name of the settler who drew it. These are the numbers referred to on the map.
*SD VIII Lot 42 was the official entry, however Grey points out that the Allen brothers had a total of 500 acres, probably made up of the neighbouring lots indicated on the map.
