DescriptionThis derelict building on what is now known as Kauri Point would have been a hive of social activity and lively debate at one time, having been the home of George Vesey Stewart, eminent politician, salesman and visionary. By the time Anne came across it in the 1970s it was in ruins, abandoned to the elements.
