DescriptionFrom the Order of Service for the Official Opening and Dedication of Te Puke's Methodist Church:
The Congregation shall be seated within the building before the time of commencing the service. At 1:45pm the Official Party and the Choir shall proceed to the main entrance on the which the President shall knock three times. The Congregation will stand. Mrs. A.L. Diprose will open the doors from the inside and will deliver the keys with these words
"Reverend Sir, I deliver to you the keys of this building erected in the name of the Methodist Church of New Zealand for the Glory of God and the service of men."
The President was the Rev. A. R. Penn and the Minister of the Circuit standing behind him was the Rev. G.T. Gilbert.
