DescriptionThe ambulance on the right is the ambulance purchased in 1971. The need for a replacement was identified in 1984, and it arrived and came into service in 1986. The floor of the St John Ambulance station had to be lowered to accommodate the new appliance, as its roof was higher - clearly seen in this photograph.
