Little Blue House

DescriptionThe Little Blue House on Katikati's Main Road opened its doors for the first time on January 10th, 2012 and welcomed 10,000 visitors in its first year. It was local artist Pat Williams who had the vision to turn the run down building into an exhibition space, and it played host to many local and regional artists. It had to be demolished in 2016 to make way for the new library and community hub, Patuki Manawa, which opened in August 2018. The Western Bay Community Archives have scrapbooks which were maintained by LBH devotee Dawn Blaine at the request of Anne Bowling, which ensures that a record of this local icon is available to view.
